So you know I’ve been very slowly reading a Jin Yong wuxia novel. Serendipitously I got an idea for a story related to that and in such a way that connects to a past story. For better or for worse (I’m not sure yet) I often just take something that’s on my mind at the time and throw it into the story I’m working on with no regard for whether it “fits.” But indeed, it must fit? I think. Not sure whether everyone else does that.
Working on more D.C.-themed stuff. The D.C. arc is not over, and neither is my fascination with Chinese martial arts and wuxia, although they may come back at different times.
Back to my day job today after some time off. I’m up kind of early so I’ll get some more sleep— perhaps reading Jin Yong in order to get there. Zzz… talk to you soon.
